Sanding down the shell, but….

Well, this was a project we had never done before. We had the wrong tools, and we went too far.  So we took it all off, which wasn't the plan, but now it's too late.

Well, everything is off the car. Power-washing it down so we can start the next stage.

Auto or Manual is the question at hand. Drop the trans because we don't need it for what we are planning.
